Meet your therapist at Blooming Intuition Counseling

Hi! My name is Chloe’ Gobel, LCSW-A.

My approach to therapy can be described as eclectic, creative, mindful, and engaging. I believe in the power of laughter, silence, movement, curiosity, and connection.

I am dedicated to integrating a compassionate and informed approach to each step that we take together. Your autonomy comes first. I believe in the importance of informed consent. I offer choice each step of the way as well as time to process that choice in real time during sessions. This approach can be especially helpful in providing safety for ADHD, Autistic, & AuDHD folks as well as those who have a PTSD diagnosis or have experienced complex trauma.

I work from the framework that Autism and ADHD are genetically-based neurotypes.

I am LGBTQAI2S+, BIPOC, Neurodiverse, and all abilities affirming as well as Kink and Fat-positive. I utilize the HAES model for disordered eating thoughts/behaviors, body image struggles, and interest in intuitive eating.

What you can expect in therapy:

Creative, curious, and caring therapy!

Together, I will support you in navigating and identifying your therapeutic goals, whatever they may be through a person centered lens. We will discuss potential best approaches and tools to use to work towards those goals and then dive into the work!

I am not a “blank slate therapist”. I affirm and normalize Neurodiversity at times through lived experience examples. This approach is utilized with the intention of destigmatizing and deconstructing the box that so many Neurodiverse humans have had to live in in order to survive.

For those exiting, deconstructing, and or processing high control environments (cults or unsafe religious or non religious institutions) - my promise to you is to do my part to research and understand the culture from which you are healing from. This means, you are not obligated nor responsible for educating me on every aspect of the cultural environment from which you are exiting, the hope is to allow you more space to focus on building safety in your body and processing emotions in real time.

Lastly, I encourage comfort during sessions! Lying or sitting on the floor, using fidgets, stimming, snacks and drinks are all welcome here! Let’s get comfy so we can focus on the work.

ABOUT
Chloe’

I am an AuDHD human who believes that deep healing happens when we choose ourselves, offer compassion and care, and allow ourselves to feel what is actually showing up in the present moment.

I have navigated through a lot of hardship in this life including deconstructing from high control environments and living in a brain and body that was oftentimes not accepted.

I use parts of my lived experience to help better understand and support folks who are on their own journey of healing.

I entered this field with a deep knowing of how important it is to feel seen and heard, witnessed in your pain, and supported through the many layers that trauma holds in our beings.

Showing up for ourselves is daily work. I believe that we have the answers within us, we just sometimes need support navigating to our internal knowing.

I am so grateful for in depth work and I am so honored that my passion gets to be my career. I am grateful to all of the humans that have entrusted their stories with me thus far and I cannot wait to meet who is interested in being witnessed on their journey next!

I look forward to connecting.
