about high control environments?
-
Cults are high-control environments (HCE) that use, mind control, coercion, abuse and other types of abuses of power to victimize its “members” for a higher “purpose”. These spaces can range from small such as family groups to masses such as larger religious institutions. Leaders often present as charismatic, charming, and often use “love bombing” tactics to entice newcomers.

OCD Reminders to work with over time:
You can tolerate uncertainty
Anxiety does not need a ritual
Your brain can unlearn fear associations
Compulsions are a choice
The more you fight against your fears, the stronger they become
The goal is not to make the discomfort go away, it is to learn to tolerate it. In turn learning to trust yourself on a deeper more attuned level.
